Get Started
This guide walks you through the simplest way to start using Violoop — from plugging in the device to your first conversation.
What You Need
- Your Violoop device
- A computer with a free USB port
- The Violoop desktop app installed
Download the App
Get the Violoop desktop app from the official release page:
Pick the build for your operating system (Windows / macOS / Linux), download it, and run the installer. Always download from this official source to make sure you get a genuine, up-to-date version.
Step 1: Connect the Device
Plug your Violoop device into your computer's USB port. The device powers on automatically and the desktop app detects it within a few seconds.
Once connected, you'll see the connection status turn active in the app — that's your sign Violoop is ready.
Step 2: Open the App
Launch the Violoop desktop app. If this is your first time, follow the on-screen setup to sign in and link the device to your account.
Step 3: Start a Conversation
Type what you need into the input box and press Enter. You can ask a question, request a task, or simply chat — for example:
- "Summarize the document I have open."
- "Open my browser and search for today's weather."
- "Remind me to call the team at 3pm."
Violoop understands natural language, so there's no special syntax to learn. Just tell it what you want.
Step 4: Let Violoop Take Action
For tasks that involve your computer, Violoop can see your screen and operate it for you — opening apps, navigating, and completing multi-step work. Watch it carry out the task, and step in anytime if you want to guide it.
